SOLAVITA LIFE · A LIFE OF ONE'S OWN
A life of one's own.
The series that started everything.
For more than twenty-five years, I wore a ranger uniform. It was practical, familiar, and deeply connected to work I loved. But it also made many decisions for me — what to wear, how to appear, what kind of presence to carry into a room.
When that chapter changed, I found myself standing in front of an open closet with a new kind of freedom. Not the freedom of abundance — I had very little — but the freedom of choice. For the first time, I could ask: what would I actually wear?
SOLAVITA began as a private notebook. A place to record what I was learning about fabric, fit, and the quiet confidence that comes from wearing something made for your actual life. It became a journal. Then a channel. Then this.
A life of one's own is not a destination. It is a practice. It is the daily work of noticing what fits — in the wardrobe, in the calendar, in the body — and making small, deliberate adjustments toward something more true.
This is where I keep those field notes. Not rules. Not a system. Just an honest record of learning to live with intention.
The best choices start with the life already in front of us.
